A Long Weekend Trip on Ireland's East Coast

Get away for a long weekeend and enjoy everything the east coast has to offer with great views, food and adventures so suit everyone!

Are you ready to while away the weekend on Ireland's east coast? Below is a 3-day itinerary that can serve as a potential outline for getting your trip started!

Day 1: From Meath To Wicklow

Go to Rambing Rover HQ to pick up your camper and head over to the "Garden of Ireland", or Wicklow. There are so many natural wonders that are a feast for sore eyes. From the majestic landscapes of the Wicklow Mountains National Park to the numerous campsites (Hidden Valley Holiday Park) in the region, there are many places to relax and unwind.

Day 2: From Wicklow To Wexford

Wexford is a coastal town steeped in scenic beauty and history, which is why it's worthy of visiting. Take a leap back into Ireland's ancient historic past by visiting Irish National Heritage Park, and finish off your journey at the Wexford Quays.

There are plenty of local campsites worthy of attention. For example, the Ferrybank Caravan and Camping Park or the Morriscastle Strand Holiday Park are both highly rated options. See our favourite campsites in Ireland.

Day 3: From Wexford To Rambling Rover HQ Again

It's now time to finish off the trip by heading home to Meath. As a side note, take the scenic route home and stop to visit any number of the quaint seaside towns along the way. Home to historic Boyne Valley, Drogheda is a gem of a place to stop in for those with a love and respect for history.

You will need to return your hired campervan once you reach Meath, but explore the county as well! Check out Newgrange or the Hill of Tara to see some ancient Irish history.

Caution: This itinerary is just a loose idea, so feel free to make it more custom for your needs.
